UEFA has finalised deals in France with leading broadcasters TF1 and Canal Plus for the 2009-12 UEFA Champions League media rights.
Rights package
The package of rights won by commercial free-to-air broadcaster TF1 will entitle it to continue broadcasting 13 first choice live matches each season (including the UEFA Champions League final) exclusively on TF1. Meanwhile, Canal Plus will be the exclusive broadcaster of the UEFA Super Cup, the UEFA Champions League Play-Offs (formerly the third qualifying round) and of two out of the four first knockout round matchweeks.
