Major League Soccer’s newest team Philadelphia Union is close to agreeing a naming rights deal with energy company PPL Corp.
PPL Corp is expected to sign a 10-year, $20m deal to rename the club’s new waterfront stadium PPL Park, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The $120m stadium is currently under construction and will not be ready for the start of the season so the Union will start life in the MLS at Lincoln Financial Field, home of NFL team the Philadelphia Eagles.
