Australia Cuts Bonuses to Olympic Coaches for London 2012 Games
Australia will budget A$30 million ($18.7 million) to send 400 athletes to the 2012 London Olympics and will cut bonuses to fourth-place finishers and coaches amid tougher economic conditions.

The Australian Olympic Committee is setting aside A$16.7 million for training and A$13.4 million to send the team to London, it said on its Web site today. Australia was sixth in the medal tally for Beijing, with 14 golds and a total 46, with swimming its best sport.
