Over 1.2 Million spectators attend Athletics in Beijing
BOCOG, the Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, Beijing 2008 have released the spectator / ticket data for the Athletics events (15 – 24 Aug) held in the National Stadium – Bird’s Nest – for the Olympic Games (9 – 24 Aug) confirming that each of the evening sessions were full to the 91,000 seat capacity.

Spectators
Total number attending Athletics: 1,257,000

Ticket sales
Tickets sold to the audience: 1,127,000

(Balance made up by the free tickets set aside for VIP, Media, TV, and athletes)
