EVENT BIDS
With the value and stature of major events growing every year, bidding has emerged as one of the industry’s most pivotal aspects. With comprehensive experience and unparalleled success in organizing, developing, writing, designing and leading bid efforts for numerous Games, World Cups and World Championships, HOK Event stands ready to ensure that your bid is technically excellent and strategically superior.
The HOK Event team has worked with many organizations including FIFA, IAAF and the IOC. Our relationships with sport leaders ensure that your bidding strategy is consistent with both the proven successes of the past and the cutting edge of current thinking. OVERLAY PLANNING
Overlay planning is the process of developing a program for temporary modifications to a permanent venue and the surrounding areas. HOK Event works with the event and facility staff to identify the space needs for constituent event groups and service providers. This involves many disciplines including security, hospitality, media and athletes.
The program is the basis of the operational drawings which illustrate the venue boundaries, fence lines, routing, circulation and temporary facility needs for each of these groups.
The result is a clear and integrated set of drawings and routing diagrams that improve and enhance the overall event.
EVENT HOSPITALITY
HOK Event has extensive experience with the design, construction and operations of sports and entertainment Hospitality Facilities.
For Super Bowls XXXV and XXXVII, HOK Event directed overall design development, space programming, budget and project management for the Corporate Hospitality Villages adjacent to the Super Bowl stadium sites. On-site responsibilities also included coordination, construction and servicing of all temporary facilities including tents, trailers, electrical, utilities, restrooms and waste removal.
The 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City included a Sponsor Hospitality element in which members of the HOK Event team played a key role including initial conceptual design, facility rental agreement, all packaging, sales and sponsorship management.
We recognize that the most important element of successful Hospitality Facilities is the coordination of the vendors, services and facilities in conjunction with the client’s needs.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES
Accessibility is a key component in an event’s success. HOK Event understands how to utilize a facility’s layout and to clearly identify accessible locations including seating and viewing areas, concessions, restrooms and hospitality suites.
Every event must have accessible transportation to get to the event and accessible routes that allow patrons to get around each location. In the United States, HOK Event works with ADA experts, including the Department of Justice, to ensure compliance with accessibility laws and obtain the highest possible level of efficiency. These standards are also used to give the same consideration to spectators at events worldwide.
Summer and Winter Games Experience
Every two years the world comes together to compete in a magnitude of sporting events with the world’s best athletes and their fans. In what takes years to plan, competition and festivities last mere days. HOK Event is dedicated to creating an experience that is distinctive to that time and place, making the moment last for a lifetime.
Our approach to Summer and Winter Games takes all aspects into consideration. Accommodations must be made for the athletes, spectators, media and government officials. Creating an environment which each of these groups can enjoy, knowing they will reach their destination smoothly to compete or view the competition safely.

National Football League Events
Transparent to the fans, hundreds of elements are orchestrated to create the National Football League’s largest event. As part of the 20-year evolution of the Super Bowl, HOK Event is the coordinating firm responsible for stadium remodelling, necessary additions, operations planning and management.
Responsibilities include event design and overlay for broadcast and print media facilities, corporate and spectator hospitality and event scheduling. Our staff oversees all aspects of facility procurement and construction insuring that the highest standards are met.
HOK Event recently began working with the Super Bowl host cities designing downtown master plans and spectator areas for festivals, concerts and additional events. Working with both the NFL and the cities has helped turn the one-day event into a longer destination experience.
