Norfolk County Development Officer
Salary Scale: £17,408 - £20,032 pa
British Gymnastics (BG) in conjunction with Norfolk Sports Partnership (NSP) is seeking to recruit a dedicated person to join its English Development team and play a key role in the implementation of the Eastern Counties Regional Development Plan across Norfolk.
You will work with the regional officer and be responsible for the effective co-ordination and implementation of the plan in Norfolk. The successful candidate will in particular play a key role in:
• Developing school to club links and schools competitions
• Supporting clubs as they work toward GymMark club accreditation
• Work with coaches, local authorities and schools to establish new clubs
• Work closely with partners including clubs, local authorities, school sport partnerships and Norfolk Sports Partnership to develop and deliver the Norfolk County Gymnastics Development Plan
Applicants should be educated to degree level in sports development or other relevant area or have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a sport and leisure environment. A working knowledge of gymnastics is essential. A full UK Driving License and access to own car is essential.
The post is offered on a 2 year fixed term basis and, subject to future funding agreements, could be continued.
