REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Salary Negotiable and dependant on experience

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and with the ability to get the job done, to deliver an exciting strategy for the most popular participation sport in London and in perhaps the most exciting and challenging sporting environment in the world.
The ASA London Region is responsible for the delivery of the Amateur Swimming Association’s swimming strategy within the London Region. The successful applicant will direct and manage the delivery of the London Regions Corporate Plans and to ensure that policies reflect good practice and good governance.
Work will initially focus on the development and implementation of the regional strategic plan and ensuring that, in establishing the region’s good governance, the best practice is reflected. A key aspect of the role will be to seek and maintain suitable partners and funding to deliver the Region’s share of the key performance indicators set out in the ASA’s Corporate Plan.
Candidates must display evidence of a thorough understanding of the sports development process, working and creating partnerships with a variety of external partners from Government, Regional, Sub-Regional, Club and Volunteer Levels. The candidate must have excellent leadership skills. Knowledge of development and implementation of strategic and operational plans is essential.
The post holder will be employed by the Amateur Swimming Association reporting directly to the Chairman of the ASA Regional Board.
The position is a full time appointment.
