Location: Nyon, Switzerland
Working with the UMET Logistics Manager, this role involves defining and organising the shipping and freight needs of the different UMET departments for the Euro 2008 tournament and the Final Draw of Euro 2008. A detailed understanding of freight forwarding, customs regulations and road and transport restrictions will be needed for this position.
This person will work closely with some departments of Euro 2008 and directly with outside shipping suppliers. Skill requirements include previous experience in shipping/freight operations at international events, preferably including some long term planning experience. Language requirements are fluent English and German with French as an additional advantage.
Main activities (the most frequent first):
Coordination of freight and shipping needs for all UMET departments with Euro2008 and with suppliers
Main point of contact for UMET freight forwarder
Coordination of access, delivery and parking issues at Euro 2008 for UMET staff, suppliers and partners
Identification and supervision of freight issues for HB & RT at the IBC
Main responsibilities (technical financial managerial):
Monitoring and tracking of shipping invoices, ensuring adherence to budget set by Logistics Manager

Education:
University degree or equivalent appreciated
Work experience:
Experience in freight / logistics on major events particularly on the HB side
2 years experience in event or project planning
