Description
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. The IPC organizes the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as the International Federation for 12 sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions. The IPC is committed to enabling Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for persons with a disability from the beginner to elite level. In addition, the IPC aims to promote the Paralympic values, which include courage, determination, inspiration and equality.

Our team needs the assistance of an
Organizational Development Initiative (ODI) Lead Consultant (f/m)

If you are an energetic, open-minded individual for whom working with a global sports organization could be challenging, and you
• Have proven experience directly with organizational development or building the capacity of sport organizations (knowledge of the Paralympic Movement will be viewed as an added benefit)
• Have experience with business planning, writing and reporting
• Have excellent management, interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills, and the intention to learn and live the IPC’s vision “Spirit in Motion”
• Have a fluent verbal and written command of the English language (bilingual applicants will be viewed as having an additional technical capability)

The primary role of the Lead Consultant in this first phase of an ongoing process will be to provide overall project management, provide guidance on further development of the concept and deliver the desired outcomes as specified in the job description and ODI Brief.

The Lead Consultant will be responsible to:
• Deliver and develop the IPC Organizational Development Initiative (ODI) for the purposes of assessing and supporting National Paralympic Committees (NPC’s) worldwide
• Provide supervision, co-ordination and leadership in managing the ODI initiative to the completion of the contract period and to achieve the project outcomes
• Develop an evaluation component for the ODI that enhances the ongoing activities and captures the lessons learned
Scope of Commitment:
• It is envisioned the Lead Consultant will provide up to 35 days of services from their current location to the IPC between May - December 2007 with one liaison meeting at IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany.
• The Lead Consultant will start work immediately.
