Badminton England is the sport's governing body in England for all ages and skill levels through from grassroots to world class performance. Badminton England has recently embarked on nothing short of a revolutionary change across the sport with the publication of its 10 year strategy, The 100 Point Plan … A Decade of Delivery and are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills to take on the role of Head of Development.
As a member of the Strategic Management Team (SMT), the successful candidate will:
• Play a strategic role in the implementation and delivery of our visionary document
• Take a strategic lead on the development of key partnerships to include Education, County Sports Partnerships, School Sports Partnerships, Regional Sports Boards, Sport England, Local Authorities and other Key Partners, that will enable the delivery of success
• Be responsible for the planning and delivery of the business of badminton through the regional network
• Oversee the development and implementation of National Development Programmes to include PESSCL, Step into Sport, Club Development, CCDP, the Club and Coach Fund and initiatives aimed at the education sector
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience in managing people & projects in a sports, education and/or commercial background and demonstrate a determination to lead from the front. The ability to shape and motivate teams through excellent people and management skills is also essential in addition to a passion for sport at all levels.
