PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensures that the quality of French translations from English and German meets the requirements of UEFA's various divisions, in accordance with UEFA's corporate image.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Translates UEFA texts into French from English and German
Proofreading
Participates in terminology projects
Maintains French translation memory
EDUCATION:
Language degree and/or MA in translation
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Some years experience as an in-house or freelance French translator working from English and German
Experience of proofreading
Experience of translating and editing of regulations
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
Good MS Office skills
Experience of computer-assisted translation tools (TRADOS)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
French must be native French speaker
English - fluent
German - fluent
Others - an asset
