My client is one of the leading sports National Governing Bodies in the country who as a result of increased funding are looking for Regional Development Manager's for the London, Yorkshire and West Midland regions. The positions will be responsible for delivering the sports strategic aims of the organisation and work with regional and local stakeholders to promote and increase participation numbers.
· To implement strategies and policies and to provide direction for the development of the sport in each region in the light of emerging Regional and National structures and meeting local needs; ensuring effective communication to stakeholders
· To continually review the regional and local sporting environment that influences the growth / development of the sport and develop appropriate strategies to ensure a continued increase in participation among young people and those aged 16+
· Develop structures and partnerships appropriate to the changing environment sport operates within the region, paying particular attention to developing relationships with the Regional Sports Board, Sport England in the Region, County Sports Partnerships and School-Sport partnerships at a local level.
· To continually review the regional and local sporting environment that influences the growth / development of the sport and develop appropriate strategies to ensure a continued increase in participation among young people and those aged 16+
Candidates should have a through understanding of community and community networks at a grassroots level in the specific region in addition to excellent written and communication skills. A background in community coaching / grassroots development is a distinct advantage in addition to knowledge of Sport England, CSP and SSP structures.
A basic salary from £25,000 in addition to a car, blackberry and laptop is available for the right candidate and interviews will take place mid August with a start date of mid September.
