The British Ski & Snowboard Federation is seeking a Coach to manage the National Development Snowboardcross Team. They will play a lead role in the creation of a long term plan for the future direction of Snowboardcross in the UK.
This is a contract position full time for the period from 1st November 2007 through to 30th March 2008, which will also include a two week training camp in September 2007. The Development Coach will be required to re-locate for the duration of the contact to our European base.
Specific duties with respect to management of the National Development Snowboardcross Team include:
• providing on and off snow coaching.
• Coordinating team travel plans and logistics.
• Preparing and administering individual and team training plans.
• Acting as a representative for the British Snowboard Teams in a variety of public settings.
• Setting and evaluating individual and team performance objectives.
• Budget management and report preparation.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Proven leadership skills as they relate to Snowboarding or Skiing.
• Proven athletic and/or coaching experience at the elite level.
• Full Level 1 NCCP certification (or international equivalent) in Snowboarding or Skiing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FIS competition rules and formats.
• Proficient computer skills and a laptop computer.
• The ability to communicate well.
