| Description |
The British Ski & Snowboard Federation is seeking a Coach to train the National Junior Team. The position plays a vital role within British Snowboarding, and within the long term development plan for the sport.
The position is part time for the 2007/2008 season. There will be approximately three UK camps in UK Snowdomes between September 2007 and October 2007, and six European camps between December 2007 and April 2008, provisional dates are listed below. The salary will be a daily rate subject to experience.
Specific duties with respect to role of National Junior Coach include:
• Providing on and off snow coaching.
• Assisting in the co-ordination and planning of team travel arrangements and logistics.
• Assisting in the preparation of team training plans and preparing individual training plans and camp reports.
• Acting as a representative for the British Snowboard Teams in a variety of public settings.
• Setting and evaluating individual and team performance objectives.
• Budget management and report preparation.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Proven leadership skills in a Snowboard environment.
• Proven athletic and/or coaching experience at an elite level.
• A relevant coaching qualification in snowboarding.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FIS competition rules and formats.
• Proficient computer skills and a laptop computer.
• The ability to communicate well.
