ELITE COACH DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
ELITE RUGBY DEPARTMENT
The growth of the RFU Elite Coach Development programme has created a new opportunity for an Elite Coach Development Manager. This role will support the Head of Elite Coach Development (Kevin Bowring) with the strategic development and delivery of coaching programmes and individual coach development, to ensure that all elite teams have access to high quality coaching supported by the best elite coach development system. Our aim is for England Rugby to be world leaders in elite coach development, helping our best coaches to become even better.
Your key responsibilities and goals will include:
• Working closely with the Head of Elite Coach Development in designing, managing and implementing the elite coach development policies, programmes and partnerships.
• Developing existing and potential elite coaches and managers in the RFU and the Premiership clubs so that we have a stream of coaching talent for the future.
• Increasing the number of excellent coaches at Level 4 and Level 5 award stages and beyond.
• Developing effective programmes to ensure that the elite coaching resource is continually improving for the benefit of English rugby.
This role requires a skilled elite coach development manager who has already established respect and credibility in this field within the game.
Candidates will need to demonstrate:
• Substantial experience of developing and delivering highly effective coach development strategies.
• Exceptional coaching and people development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven financial and project management acumen.
• Skills as a mentor and facilitator
This is a national role which can be fulfilled from a home office base but may involve irregular hours and extensive travelling.
