The Federation:
British Cycling is the internationally recognised governing body for cycling in the UK. It is also one of the leading governing bodies across all sport in the UK, with 20,000 members who have access to a calendar of well over 2,500 events spread across six cycle sport disciplines.
The organisation also runs the highly successful Great Britain Cycling Team, which has produced over 20 World Champions in 2007 and expects to play a leading role in Team GB’s medal-winning activities at the Olympic Games in both Beijing and London.
With the London 2012 Olympics less than five years away, British Cycling will be an exciting place to work, with the organisation at the centre of a once-in-a-generation opportunity to develop the sport.
The Role
Working as part of the Cycle Sport and Membership team, you will have responsibility for administering and developing the programme of non-competitive cycling events in order to support the Everyday Cycling and British Cycling Events Calendar.
The job holder will need to be a dynamic individual who is customer focused with highly proficient IT skills and who is motivated to grow and improve British Cycling’s Event programme. Demonstrable experience of working in Events, ideally activity based is required.
