PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Support the Logistics Manager on all aspects of logistics planning for UEFA Media Technologies (UMET). Provide general administrative and linguistic support.
As from September 2010 the position will report to the Staff Services Manager and will be more concerned with the following areas: (i) assisting with FAME database issues and being the key data input responsible for the Logistics team; and (ii) coordinating the uniform needs of the various UMET target groups, working closely with the uniform suppliers and supervising the distribution process during the event, (iii) coordinating logistics and access for UMET guests during the Draws and the Final Tournament.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Assisting Nyon-based Logistics staff with linguistic and administrative duties
• Assisting Staff Services team with data input needs for FAME
• Collating and updating of UMET uniform needs
• Working with uniform suppliers on production and delivery deadlines
• Devise distribution process for uniforms together with Euro division colleagues
• Coordination for UMET corporate guests at tournament Draws and the Final Tournament
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing excellent translation, interpretation and administrative support
• Managing uniform ordering and distribution as an independent sub-project
EDUCATION:
• University degree or equivalent appreciated
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in event planning or sports or television companies an advantage
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Excellent computer skills
• Word / Excel
• Database experience
PERSONAL QUALITIES
• Strong team player with a solution based approach
• Coordination and planning skills
• Quick understanding, attention to detail, good judgement
• Ability to work independently
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• English - fluent (oral and written)
• Polish or Ukrainian or Russian
• French and German - good knowledge is a strong advantage
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Relocation to International Broadcast Centre in 2012 – possibly 2-4 months full time
• Travel on events – occasional travel abroad
