PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure planning, development and running of an efficient volunteer programme during EURO 2012 and possible pre-tournemant events (namely Draw I) in Poland, including recruitment, tranining and management of the required volunteers in close co-operation with the concerned departments within EURO 2012 as well as national and international stakeholders.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• To define and to develop the implementation strategy and concept for the Polish volunteer programme, providing the programme, organisation and budget aligned with the programme runned in Ukraine;
• To manage the human and material resources necessary for the task, in conjunction with internal stakeholders as well as with external partners, for the achievement of a successful volunteers project in Poland;
• Ensure sourcing and recruitment of defined number of volunteers necessary to run successful EURO 2012 Tournament in Poland following defined levels of service per target group;
• To keep the project within the defined objectives, ensuring that all involved understand and accept their responsibilities, maintaining the resources focused on the project execution, making the necessary adjustments, keeping files for the project, arbitrating and resolving conflicts and elaborating reports on the status of the project;
• In conjunction with the Event Training Manager elaboration of the contents and running of the training modules for volunteers;
• To keep an open understanding and relation with the Volunteer Manager in Ukraine, the UEFA EURO Division's Workforce Advisor and the Governmental agency in order to align the different programmes;
• Liaise with Media Relations in the creation of a positive image amongst the general public of the Volunteer programme within Poland;
• Liaise with Event Logistics regarding the volunteer uniform concept and distribution;
• Create communication channels to (potential) volunteers (e.g. digital newsletter, website etc.);
• Responsible for a successful transfer of knowledge and debriefing within the own area by following the guidelines of the Information Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Definition of the volunteer profile and numbers for all areas with all involved stake holders;
• Responsible for keeping within the set budget and following the Programme Management guidelines.

EDUCATION:
• University degree
• Further education as a professional trainer
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Relevant and extensive professional experience in volunteer work, mainly knowledge of its respective methodologies and planning and controlling tools;
• Minimum 5 years experience as a manager, preferably within a world class sporting event;
• 2 years experience as trainer.

• Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written
• Strong organisational skills; knowledge in project management
• Strong links within Polish volunteering network
