The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement.

The IPC organizes the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as the International Federation for 12 sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions.

The IPC is committed to enabling Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for all persons with a disability from the beginner to elite level. Description

If you are an energetic, open-minded individual for whom working in a dynamic team in a global sports organization could be challenging, and you

• Have a graduate degree or equivalent,
• Have knowledge and practical experience of sport management principles as they relate to Olympic and/or Paralympic Sport
• Have proven work experience with Olympic, Paralympic and/or other major international sport movement (at least 5 years)
• Have analytical skills, attention to detail while also being able to see the “big picture”
• Are able to work and lead projects independently and within a team
• Have excellent organizational skills and are computer literate in MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook),
• Have excellent verbal and written English skills (knowledge of other languages is an advantage),

then we would like you to join our team.

You will be responsible for the coordination and liaison with the local organizing committees and manage the day-to-day issues related to all Paralympic Games Sports specific matters.

More specifically this includes

• Managing all activities associated with developing and determining the Paralympic Games Sports Programmes (sports, disciplines, medal events and athlete quotas) as well as the publication of the Paralympic Qualification Guide.
• Managing the ongoing development of sports technical standards for the Paralympic Games (e.g. Competition and Training Venue Requirements, Competition Formats, Sport Entries, Sport Results, Sport Presentation,…)
• Acting as the primary IPC liaison with the OCOG Sport Function to provide direction, advice and approval on areas of Games Planning relating to sport and the athletes.
• Acting as the primary IPC liaison with the IPSFs to clarify, advise and support on areas of Games Planning relating to the delivery of their sport at the Paralympic Games.
• Working and liaisoning with the IPC Paralympic Games Team in order to ensure compliance of the Paralympic Games with the IPC’s strategic direction and with the Paralympic Games Master Schedule
• Supervising the development and evolution of IPC Sports Data Information Systems and Paralympic Result Systems
• Attending IPC/OCOG Project Review, IPC Sports Council and other required meetings.
• Preparing and presenting regular progress reports and Games related evaluations (planning, Games Time and Post Games phases).

This position will report directly to the IPC Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
