The International Olympic Committee was founded on 23 June 1894 by the French educator Baron Pierre de Coubertin who was inspired to revive the Olympic Games of Greek antiquity. The IOC is an international non-governmental non-profit organisation and the creator of the Olympic Movement.
The IOC exists to serve as an umbrella organisation of the Olympic Movement. It owns all rights to the Olympic symbols, flag, motto, anthem and Olympic Games. Its primary responsibility is to supervise the organisation of the summer and winter Olympic Games. |

Missions
• Responsible to educate all Olympic Rights Holders and to coordinate all internal services required by them to optimize their investment during the Term once the Long Form Agreement has been finalized.
• Develops and maintains key relationships with Olympic Broadcasters and, as such, determines key service to meet their expectations and to help them achieve their business objectives.
• Ensures that the interests of the Olympic Movement and the IOC are correctly preserved.
Main responsibilities and key tasks
His/her key task will be to be in direct contact with RHBs, to understand the need of our broadcast clients and to diligently deliver to them all appropriate answers from the different IOC Departments and Companies (OBS, TOPs Partnership Marketing, Games Department, Communication, NOC Marketing, Protocol, etc).
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Educate new Olympic RHBs to the Olympic Movement, to the IOC Administration functioning and to its broadcast related subsidiaries.
• Liaise and consult with all stakeholders on Olympic-related topics to help RHBs leverage their rights and benefits as Olympic broadcasters.
• Help Broadcast partners leverage their Olympic investment and achieve their commercial objectives by being knowledgeable of their particular business and organization and understanding their business plans in order to develop and act on relevant opportunities;
• In cooperation with the IOC Relevant Departments help drive the development and activation of Olympic-related broadcast marketing activities;
• In cooperation with IOC TMS Research Analyst collect and monitor all useful information from RHBs and their sublicensees in each territory;
• In cooperation with the Broadcast Marks Approval coordinator coordinate all sponsor approvals of marks and image usage for the Olympic 5-rings and all other Olympic marks;
• In cooperation with the Digital Media, Legal and Finance departments coordinate all support for the monitoring and resolution of broadcaster issues related to the protection of exclusivity, anti piracy, payments, etc;
• Work with IOC Marketing Communications to provide broadcaster-related information for inclusion in marketing communication reports, publications and IOC web site (intranet/extranet/internet);
• Ensure excellent service for broadcasters, while following internal servicing guidelines.
Training and experience
Every manager is responsible for keeping his or her competences up to date.
• University education or equivalent.
• 7-10 years broadcast (broadcaster, agency or sports rights holder) experience with in depth involvement in sports broadcast production and marketing).
• Knowledge of project management tools (putting in place a working structure, defining objectives, timetabling, coordination of teamwork, communication, etc.).
• Knowledge of international and multicultural environments.
• Languages: English (fluent), French(very good), German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (good verbal knowledge in at least one is preferable)
• Complete familiarity with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
