PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The TV Production Department is looking for the services of an experienced broadcast engineer to help prepare for the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament. The venue engineering manager (Technical Operations Centre) will be responsible for the planning and design of the venue technical operations centres, cabling, power supply and all related venue broadcast systems. This will include TOC system design and testing from conceptual phase to complete installation and operation in accordance with approved engineering standards.
Engineering and system design will include TOC routing, distribution and monitoring, signal processing, telecommunications, communication systems and power supply. Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies will be essential.
This position will be based in Switzerland, but will require extensive travelling.

• Planning and coordination

EDUCATION:
• Broadcast technical diploma

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Broadcast systems design for at least 10 years
• Broadcast environment experience of at least 15 years (including OB experience as senior engineer)
• International sporting event experience in broadcast engineering and design

BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Auto CAD
• Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Visio
• Broadcast control systems software (routing, communication systems, control)

PERSONAL QUALITIES
• Self-motivated and responsible
• Able to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to turn initial concepts into complete working systems
• Organised
• Team-player

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• English: fluent oral and written
• Polish: an advantage
