PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Responsible for performing a variety of tasks for several finance functions (control of receivable current accounts, cash management, accountating, tax and local obligations, statutory accounts, payments and other administrative procedures) in an efficient, competent, discreet and service orientated manner and provide management information.
Ensures the most favourable finance conditions for the implementation of the tournament on behalf of the Euro 2012 organization.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Organise and run the Euro 2012 Tournament Office Poland Financial department in order to meet the internal and external client needs and expectations.
• Ensures the liaison with Euro Division and specifically responsible for the correct application of financial coding, cash management, control of current accounts and budget;
• Responsible for the usage and implementation of the Financial Management System within the Host Country;
Supervises in liaison with Euro Division all year's-end-transactions, intermediate reports, statistics and financial reports following the pre-determined structure
Provides intermediate financial reports (generally every mont) to stakeholders;
• Liaises efficiently with Euro Division to ensure financial consistency between the two Host Countries; establish a lean information system to up-date superiors and subordinates on financial situation;
• Lead your team, split tasks, delegate accordingly but keep overview and ability to anticipate.
• Responsible for the petty cash fund(s) and reimbursement of valid business expenses. Prepares all the necessary reports and keeps updated current accounts with employees
• Management of Commitments (HR, contracts and purchase orders) and respective reporting;
• Management Accounting in a timely and accurate manner;
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible to achieve the agreed business objectives and ensure all legal financial obligations;
• Lead the local Finance team successfully;
• Supports the auditors in the review of EURO 2012’s accounts;
EDUCATION:
• University degree
• Further education in finance
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 4 - 6 years in a Financial function, whereof at least 3 years with managerial responsibilities;
• Proved track record in project management;
• Similar position within (sport) event;
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook;
• Knowledge in the Definition of Finance procedures and local and International Accounting Standards;
• Strong organisational skills; knowledge in budget and project management;
• Knowledge in coding (namely management accounting) and reporting systems namely an ERP System;
