PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensures the correct and smooth running of the purchase procedures in Euro 2012 in conjuction with UEFA EURO Division.
Manages the Purchase Section for the LOC Poland.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Participates in the establishments of the administrative policy and objectives regarding purchasing procedures, in conjunction with Office & Logistics Manager;
• Researches, analyses and transmits all information which could have an impact on his mission or services;
• Ensure that the polices decided upon by Head of Administration, as well as by the Office & Logistics Manager are implemented within it's area of influence;
• Informs the Office & Logistics Manager on a regular basis about all important activities within area of responsibility;
• Participates in the establishments of a co-operation policy with suppliers;
• Negotiates with suppliers the co-operation conditions, in conjunction with the Office Manager /Requesters;
• Purchases or participates in the purchases of stationary, office supply, printer, matter, gifts, furniture, trophies, medals, uniforms, etc
Ensure control of the quality and costs of goods and services provided by suppliers;
• Participates in the implementation of the administrative procedures (POS, etc) within Euro 2012 LOC Poland;
• Ensures that documented standards for routine procedures are in place;
• Stock management and budget management;
• Ensures co-operation with UEFA logistics in all purchasing related matters.
EDUCATION:
• University degree
• Further education in logistics/purchasing
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Significant experience in the areas of logistics and purchasing;
• Excellent negotiation skills;
• Event experience;
• Experience in logistics within (international) sport events a strong plus.
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook;
• Excellent communication skills – oral and written;
• Strong organisational skills; knowledge in project management;
• Strong negotiation skills.
