| Description |
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To support and manage important UEFA events (mainly in terms of accommodation and conference facilities) in an efficient manner and to serve internal/external clients in the most suitable way.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Negotiates, implements, manages and follows up important UEFA event, according to UEFA guidelines and ensuring a positive image of UEFA
• Coordinates accommodation reservations, meeting facilities, technical equipment, appropriate catering arrangements and transport
• Manages all related administration tasks linked to UEFA events (incl. invoices, statistics etc.)
• Ensures the best contractual conditions possible through professional negotiations (hotels and other suppliers)
• Ensures coordination and smooth communication between different UEFA divisions/units and external partners/suppliers
• Carries specific projects related to travel and conferences through to a successful conclusion
• Listens to and anticipates clients’ needs, seeks relevant information, encourages innovation or research to enable the development or improvement of the unit’s performance and service level
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as event manager and main UEFA internal contact (or deputy) at large UEFA events (finals, UEFA Congress) for all hotel-related matters
• Ensures delivery of high quality service according to UEFA's standards and client expectations
• Controls costs related to meetings and events
• Ensures that UEFA policies are implemented within his/her area of influence
• Draws up and maintains internal procedures up to date

EDUCATION:
• Hotel school or equivalent
• Commercial school or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Hotel / event management / airline organisation / procurement / sales environment
• Proven negotiation experience in travel industry
• Experience of working abroad / multicultural understanding
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• IT literate (MS Office and other IT systems). Knowledge of hotel management systems an asset (i.e. Opera, Fidelio etc.)
• Full understanding of events/travel industry. Excellent knowledge of EU hotel market an asset
• Negotiation skills
• Organizational skills
• At ease with figures
