PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The TV Production Department is looking for the services of an experienced venue technical manager to help prepare for the UEFA EURO 2012 tournament. The venue technical manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all technical broadcast facilities at the venues. This will include broadcast systems, OB van, cabling, power supply and all related technical installations and testing at each venue. The venue technical manager will also ensure delivery of all multilateral and unilateral technical services to the highest standards.
Prior to the tournament, the venue technical manager will also conduct a handover of three of the four Polish venues to the respective event-time venue technical managers and will then focus on the fourth Polish venue.
The venue technical manager will also manage the technical teams at the venue. These will include the technical operations centre, cabling, commentary, OB van, power and all other technical suppliers.
This position will be based in Warsaw.

EDUCATION:
• Electronic / electrical engineering BSc/degree or technical diploma at least

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Outside broadcasts for at least 10 years
• Broadcast environment experience of at least 15 years
• Previous experience as technical manager on major events

BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Auto CAD
• Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Visio
• Broadcast control systems software

PERSONAL QUALITIES
• Self-motivated and responsible
• Able to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to improvise and find creative ideas
• Organised
• Team-player

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• English: fluent oral and written
• Polish: an advantage
