PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of this role is to plan and deliver key staff-specific support services to UEFA Host Broadcast (HB) staff and suppliers at UEFA EURO 2012. The job involves service planning, supplier assessments and contracting, as well as budget and staff management. It also involves managing the event staffing plan for all host broadcast operations, from which all service volume estimations will flow.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this person will work closely with representatives of all UEFA HB departments to make sure their tournament needs are anticipated, monitored and met. This person will also work closely with various external agencies and suppliers and be involved in staff recruitment, managing a team of seven.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Liaising with all internal UEFA HB stakeholders and external suppliers to agree on service levels and details
• Managing the UEFA HB event crew list and organisation charts, liaising with each department
• Supervising hotel bookings and chartered/scheduled flight booking processes and budgets
• Managing the HB accreditation concept, process, deadlines and supplementary access devices
• Managing the formal and casual HB event uniform fittings, ordering and distribution
• Managing corporate ticket needs, guest invitations and visits for HB target groups and clients
• Recruiting and managing staff
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Planning and tracking concepts and budgets for accommodation, accreditation, transport and uniforms
• Establishing clear lines of communication to manage and meet expectations for all event support services
DECISION-MAKING POWERS:
• Providing input on choice of service providers and service level allocations

EDUCATION:
• University degree or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in working on major sports event logistics, particularly in host broadcasting field
• Minimum three years’ experience in event or project planning, including budget management
• On-site event experience
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Excellent computer skills
• Word / Excel
• Database experience
PERSONAL QUALITIES
• Strong team player and leader
• Proven coordination and planning skills
• Outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
• Quick understanding, attention to detail, good judgement
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• English and French: excellent, both written and spoken
• German, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian: strong advantage
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Relocation to international broadcast centre in 2012 – min two months full time
• Regular travel abroad on business trips and for other events
