| Description |
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Head of Sponsorship (HOS), a middle management account handling appointment at the governing body for cricket in England and Wales based at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Close Work with the Sponsorship team, the various managers in the commercial department and Marketing Communications Department to help provide seamless support for the ECB sponsors and supplier partners.
2. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Servicing
The servicing of a number of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) principal commercial partners – Brit Insurance, npower, NatWest, Friends Provident, LV=, Marston’s, NAB, The Times, Red Bull, FTI, Veuve Clicquot and other England Team/ECB suppliers.
Responsible for:
a) Liaison with client and client agency on implementation and growth of sponsorship via regular communications and meetings
b) Liaison with Head of Sales and Marketing and Communications department to ensure that sponsorship is delivered as appropriate by First Class County Cricket Clubs, MCC (at grounds during events and within local marketing programmes), by broadcasters and on-line partners (on screen, verbal mentions and in editorial terms) and by ECB marketing programmes and partners
c) Liaison with Marketing Managers at First Class County Clubs & MCC to ensure sponsorship delivery as above
d) Event representation as required to ensure sponsors receive dedicated support on site
e) To manage the event logistics to ensure that sponsors are delivered their contracted rights and support for any additional promotional implementation
f) To co-ordinate through ECB suppliers the delivery of additional rights such as signed bats, branding inventory and programme advertisements
g) Responsible for managing and controlling budget expenditure & cost re-claim.
NB: - Depending on specific appointments and nature and number of sponsors and suppliers the sharing of these responsibilities may be subject to change.
3. NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
a) Job context
The ECB Commercial Department, under the direction of the Commercial Director, is responsible for all revenue generation and marketing activity, from junior cricket clubs and schools to First Class Domestic and International Cricket.

• International Ground hospitality and Ticket Office Managers

4. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Substantial experience of contractual delivery and servicing in an advertising or sports marketing agency
• Accustomed to dealing with contractual interpretation and negotiation
• Experienced in developing sponsorship marketing strategies to deliver client objectives and sales briefs
• Ability to pay exacting attention to detail but with creativity to think beyond the norm.
• An excellent communicator, a good team player and previous experience leading a team
• Committed and comfortable in a demanding / busy environment and able to efficiently multi-task
• Computer literate to a high degree of self-sufficiency
• Comfortable at managing and delivering budgets
5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As a very busy department, whose team often work weekends/evenings during the cricket season and often have to meet tight deadlines, a certain amount of flexibility of working hours is required.
