| Description |
Purpose of the job
To implement development programmes for international referees in Europe including the content of and organisation for various UEFA Referee Courses.
To assist and monitor National Associations with their own refereeing organisation (Referee Convention)
Assists the Senior Refereeing Manager in various projects
Main activities
• Production of educational material using expertise of committee members
• Manages the administration of the UEFA Referee Convention
• Makes recommendations to Referee Convention Panel based on the reports received
• Provides educational support for refereeing matters at final tournaments
• Monitors quality of referee observers and compiles ranking according to ability
• Production of educational material using expertise of committee members
• Issues guidelines based on conclusions reached at UEFA refereeing courses plus annual practical information booklet
• Drafts documents for refereeing course presentations and conclusions
• Maintains video database of suitable educational material
• Provides cover to Refereeing Operations during busy periods
• Collaborates closely with other UEFA units on referee course hotel selections, bookings and other course organisation (e.g. training pitches, meeting facilities)
• Manages the UEFA Referee Mentors & Talents programme
• Fix course dates and locations in collaboration with Senior Refereeing Manager
Main responsibilities
• Works with Referee Committee members in compiling educational material
• Referee Convention report monitoring and meeting organisation
• To provide written and video material for use at UEFA referee courses and for distribution to its member associations
Education
University degree or equivalent
Work Experience
• Knowledge of national football association administration
• Has worked closely with an external advisory board or committee
• Experience within an international environment
Business know-how and IT Skills
• Sound knowledge of MS Office esp: Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Video editing software skills
Language skills
• English: fluent oral and written
• French: fluent oral and written an advantage
