Hyundai announced as UEFA EUROTOP Partner

UEFA announced an agreement with Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) to be the official automotive partner for UEFA EURO 2008? at a ceremony in Zilina, Slovakia at the opening of the first European Kia plant.
This agreement means that Hyundai will become the exclusive supplier of official vehicles and buses for UEFA EURO 2008? and will fully integrate its two brands, namely Hyundai and Kia.
In addition, as a member of the UEFA EUROTOP commercial programme, the Hyundai and Kia brands will also be involved as the official automotive partner for the European Under-21 Championships in 2007 and 2009, the Women?s European Football Championship 2009 and the European Futsal Championship in 2007 and 2009.
UEFA and Hyundai have already worked together in partnership recently, and Hyundai was delivering the fleet of vehicles that were used at both UEFA EURO 2000? and UEFA EURO 2004? to transport players, officials and guests to and around the various venues.
Commenting on the announcement, Chief Operating Officer of UEFA Marketing and Media Management, Philippe Margraff, said:
?We are delighted to have the Hyundai and Kia brands involved in UEFA EURO 2008? and to continue our long-standing relationship that has already delivered excellent results over the two previous UEFA EURO tournaments.
?We are looking forward immensely to benefiting from their great experience at tournaments and from safe and comfortable transport for players, officials and guests. This now finalises the public announcements of all our main sponsor partners for UEFA EURO 2008?.?
At the ceremony Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group Chairman, Mong Koo Chung, said:
?We are honored to be in a fortunate position to sponsor the UEFA EURO 2008? tournament as part of our EUROTOP partnership agreement with UEFA. This sponsorship, fittingly signed on this historic day for Kia Motors, will give a big boost to our brand awareness, not only here in Europe but also among the huge audience of football fans throughout the world?
