RWC 2007 Ticket Sales

The opening day of world ticket sales confirmed the general public?s anticipated interest in the event.
Ten hours after the second phase of sales kicked off on Monday morning, the Organising Committee was able to announce another 100,000 tickets had been sold. The figure, picked up by many daily newspapers the following day, took total sales to nearly 800,000 since the first phase was launched on 5 November 2005.
320,000 pages viewed in one day:
A mass of surfers have visited the official web site to order tickets: on just Monday alone more than 54,000 visitors clicked onto www.france2007.fr for a total of 320,000 pages viewed. Since the beginning of April, traffic has risen to over 110,000 visits for 800,000 pages viewed.
Massive response:
The Organising Committee also informed registered visitors of the launch of worldwide sales to the general public. This e-mailing demonstrated the popularity of Rugby World Cup 2007 with 100 % of Australian visitors responding, which represents the overall interest of overseas registered visitors. The rate of clicks is 87% for all 18,000 emails forwarded.
