London 2012: 'No plan' for Olympic sport boost

A sports chief has accused the government of failing to plan how it will boost participation in sport in the run-up to the London Olympics.
Central Council of Physical Recreation head Tim Lamb said it was overlooked compared to other aspects of the event.
He said: "We are still waiting two years on for a properly-coordinated, properly-resourced strategy in order to get more people involved in sport."
The government said its participation plans will begin later this year.
Olympic minister Tessa Jowell said: "Our aim is that by 2012 two million more people will be taking part in sport."
It followed a statement by Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Thursday, when he said he hoped the event would help inspire a "fitter" Britain.
But Mr Lamb said plans for "creating a legacy in terms of urban regeneration, in terms of a tourism legacy and a skills legacy" from the Olympics had been given priority.
