Hosts of Regional Paralympics 2008 to be decided in Cairo

The Regional Presidency of International Paralympics for Middle East and North Africa will hold a meeting in Cairo on September 3 to 4, 2007, to select the host country of the Regional Paralympics 2008, which will witness participation of 1500 players who will compete in 115 events.
Aiman Abdul Wahab, the Regional President, will lead the meeting in attendance of the secondary branches of Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and UAE.
The meeting will also discuss the results of the development plan (2006-2010) and ways of raising the number of affiliated athletes in the region to 150 athletes out of 3 millions athletes around the world.
The region will participate in the 12th Summer Paralympics to be held in Shanghai from October 2 to 11, 2007 with participation of 707 athletes out of 7500 participants in 24 events.
