The tournament will be staged at the Doha Corniche on October 17,, 2007. Attending the conference were QMSF Vice-President, HE Sheikh Ahmad Bin Ali Al Thani, Sami Abu Sheikha, QMSF Secretary General, and Mohammad Al Jaida, HSBC board member. Sheikh Ahmad greeted the attendees and lauded the partnership between QMSF and HSBC in organising the tournament. "The tournament will witness participation of 50 boats," said Abou Sheikha.
