Live Events
Input Media has been involved in the television coverage of Live Events for many years, offering clients a full production service and host broadcasting for major sports events.
We provided the live coverage, production and branding for two FIFA International matches held in London recently (through KAM Sports and IEC in Sports). The supporting production team included six Input Media personnel who worked on the World Cup 2006 in Germany for Host Broadcast Services.
For the new Wembley we have been commissioned by The FA to provide live multi-camera coverage of several events, plus Big Screen Operations for England internationals and the FA Cup Final. The Football League hired us to cover the three Playoff Finals.
Our live event team recently completed 3 hours of live Indoor Hockey for Sky Sports, and the DFS Classic tennis tournament, both broadcast from Birmingham.
We transmitted Chelsea FC's Player of the Year Awards 2007 live from the Grosvenor House hotel in London, including live News Updates into Blues News and the Awards ceremony itself, distributed to subscribers via the Sky digital platform.
Input Media also covered Arsenal FC’s pre-season tour of Austria, supplying the outside broadcast commentary and full production. The matches were streamed live on Arsenal Broadband, and then distributed internationally on Arsenal TV.
For another of our major clients, Setanta Sports, we have produced live football as a host broadcaster, as well as studio based live presentations.
Production
Input Media produces a wide variety of live Multi-camera Programming, Magazine and Highlights shows for TV channels and broadband services worldwide.
We are contracted by Team Marketing to produce programming for the UEFA Champions League, which includes Highlights programmes, Magazine shows, Promotions and Documentaries. On matchnights we produce 10-minute packages of all matches, which are transmitted to broadcasters worldwide shortly after the games finish.
Input Media also works with the International Tennis Federation to produce 52 minute Highlights shows for the Davis Cup and Fed Cup, including the downlinking of 8 simultaneous matches from around the world.
We produce documentaries and programmes such as the critically acclaimed “Year in the Life of Steven Gerrard” for Pitch International, which generated one of the best ever audience ratings on Sky One, and won the award for best Digital Channel Sports Programme at the RTS Sports Awards.
Our production team work with a wide variety of clients including FIFA – creating and distributing broadcast sponsor packages, ESPN International – producing a separate UEFA Champions League Highlights programme, and IEC in Sports – downlinking live sports events and repackaging them with added commentary for worldwide distribution.
Other recent productions include a Centenary DVD for Chelsea FC, Superbike Highlights programme for ITV’s Men+Motors, inserts for the UEFA Champions League Draw and Awards Ceremony in Monaco, a DVD about the career of rising young boxing star Amir Khan, and a documentary called “The Tour” which followed the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby team on its series of matches around the world.
