| Profile |
White Light as a company trades with over 38 years of experience as a leading supplier to the events and entertainment industry. With an annual turnover of £14.5 Million, and a staff of over 100, it has developed steadily from its birth in the basement of a West End theatre.
The focus of the company in delivering high quality service with a friendly and committed attitude spreads throughout the company’s activities.
Our events division grew out of demand from our existing clients. Designers and production managers sought new avenues for their careers, which naturally followed routes that included events, television and architecture, and thus White Light refocused activities to support.
Events at White Light currently accounts for approximately 25% of annual income and as a division is growing healthily. We maintain two primary service sectors; the ‘dry hire’ of equipment and ‘wet hire’ of production services, the later which relates specifically to this tender.
We have maintained our theatrical heritage, which we believe offers us an advantage within the industry. Our projects are designed and managed by talented individuals whose portfolios include West End Theatre, Corporate and Private projects. We aim to introduce new ideas, a creative attitude and the latest technological advances to our projects. As a company we invest over £1.5 Million annually on new equipment, and are in a unique situation where we can purchase the latest and most technologically advanced equipment with a focus towards our theatre marketplace, and rapidly introduce these into the events sector. This means we remain at the forefront of advances, and bring our clients a contemporary and efficient service.
Our growth in the large-scale project sector has been mirrored in our Approved Venue contracts. We are proud to be appointed at over 90% of the UK’s leading venues, with prestigious names including The Royal Palaces, Science Museum, British Museum, English Heritage and National Trust. Within these buildings we project manage the delivery of lighting, sound and audiovisual systems. |
