BDO counties reject PDC takeover offer |
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) has rejected a takeover bid from the rival Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
Representatives from 65 BDO counties voted at the weekend to turn down PDC chief Barry Hearn’s £1m bid.
BDO boss Olly Croft had called the offer a "cheap publicity stunt", before handing the decision over to the counties.
In his buy-out bid, Hearn had offered to honour all existing contracts with sponsors, venues and broadcasters, and vowed to invest a further £1m into the grass-roots of the sport.
