Company Description
The Scottish Gymnastics Association (SGA) is the National Governing Body for Gymnastics in Scotland. It was established in 1890 and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 1997.

Description

The Scottish Gymnastics Association is one of the fastest growing governing bodies in Scotland having doubled affiliations in the past 5 years. We are now seeking to appoint a dynamic “hands on” CEO with a focus on excellence and an ability to implement positive change through high levels of ‘customer service’ and partnership working.

The ideal candidate while not necessarily from a gymnastics background must be able to demonstrate a passion for sport and an understanding of sporting organisations and national sports policy. Excellent communication skills are a must as is experience of strategic planning and financial management.

If you believe you can meet these expectations and want to play a significant role in leading the
SGA up to and beyond the 2014 Commonwealth Games which are to be held in Glasgow then forward by email a covering letter and curriculum vitae which demonstrate your achievements to date and desire to take up this challenge.

A copy of the full job description can be downloaded from our website at www.scottishgymnastics.org under the jobs section. For an informal discussion you are welcome to contact Mike Roberts the outgoing CEO on 01786 466232.
Applications should be marked ‘Private & Confidential’ and either sent to Lynn Milne,
President, Scottish Gymnastics Association, Airthrey Castle, The University of Stirling,
Stirling, FK9 4LA or alternatively emailed for the attention of Lynn Milne via
jackie@scottishgymnastics.org.

Closing Date for Applications: 12pm, Tuesday 16th September 2008
Interviews are planned for Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th September 2008.
