Assistant Choreographer
1 Year Fixed-term Contract
Scottish Gymnastics in partnership with Sport Tayside and Fife are seeking to recruit an assistant choreographer with a passion for developing talented young gymnasts who are on the elite pathway.
The successful candidate will assist in the delivery and implementation of a choreography programme designed to support National and Regional Academy gymnasts and coaches. In addition the post holder will liaise with, and support club coaches in the Tayside and Fife region, ensuring the dissemination of knowledge and expertise.
This is a rewarding and challenging opportunity for a dynamic team player who can demonstrate an ability to implement positive change. This position also offers the opportunity for professional development through the guidance, support and leadership of our technical team of experts.
Applicants should ideally hold a relevant coaching qualification and have experience of working with young gymnasts who are on the elite performance pathway. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a basic classical ballet background, including competence in constructing and delivering ballet bar sessions. Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work independently and part of a team are essential.
