Company Description
The Amateur Swimming Association is the English national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water, and synchronised swimming.

It organises competition throughout England, establishes the laws of the sport and operates comprehensive certification and education programmes for teachers, coaches and officials as well as its renowned Learn To Swim Awards scheme.

The ASA supports 1,220 affiliated swimming clubs through a National/Regional/County structure.

The ASA aims to ensure everybody has an opportunity to learn to swim.

Description

Salary: Negotiable depending on the skills and experience of the applicant
(plus contributory pension)
Hours: All Hours Worked Contract
Location: British Swimming ITC - STIRLING

Applications are invited for the exciting new post of Senior/Assistant Coach – Intensive Training Centre (ITC) - Stirling.

The main focus of this role is to contribute to the technical direction and operational standards for the Intensive Training Centre within the framework established within the agreed annual performance plan. This will involve assisting in creating a World Class daily training environment and ensuring that the athletes within the ITC have an Annual Performance Plan and partake in regular evaluation reviews.

This post will assist British Swimming in their success for 2012 and also to ensure the legacy and talent pathway continues beyond 2012. These roles have been created to continue our passion for performance excellence and our strive for continuous professional development.

The successful applicant must have proven experience of coaching swimming at international level and of working in collaboration with support services, coaches and athletes in a high performance environment. Relevant national and/or international swimming coaching qualifications are essential. Achievement of results in high performance swimming at Olympic, World or International level would be desirable.
