Company Description
The Amateur Swimming Association is the English national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water, and synchronised swimming.

It organises competition throughout England, establishes the laws of the sport and operates comprehensive certification and education programmes for teachers, coaches and officials as well as its renowned Learn To Swim Awards scheme.

The ASA supports 1,220 affiliated swimming clubs through a National/Regional/County structure.

The ASA aims to ensure everybody has an opportunity to learn to swim.

Description

Salary: £25,075 to £27,465 per annum
Location: South West
(Plus contributory pension and company car)

The Institute of Swimming is the training arm of the National Governing Body for Swimming and its associated disciplines in England, with its headquarters based in Loughborough.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of an Education Officer –South West reporting to the IoS Curriculum and Training Manager.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery and co-ordination of the Teacher/Coach Education and Volunteer Support Programmes to meet the regional strategic requirements. The role will involve developing closer working partnerships with existing and potential customers through personal contact and support and creating and delivering tailored solutions. To enhance the current education programme, so the highest standards can be achieved.

Previous strategic planning experience is essential to enable you to manage and co-ordinate the delivery of the education programmes. You will be self-motivated as well as a team player. Excellent communication and presentation skills through various mediums and at all levels are essential. Experience of tutoring courses and holding an Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications or equivalent would be advantageous, as would an understanding of the aquatic disciplines.
