| Description |
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure that all the company’s products are delivered to requesters in a suitable, cost effective and punctual manner.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Examines internal purchase requests and specifications of internal clients and helps them to find more appropriate solutions to meet their needs and, when necessary, alternative ways to meet specific targets (price, deadline, etc.)
• Maintains relationships with suppliers from sourcing to meetings, negotiations and follow-up
• Ensures that goods are delivered in line with the quality of products requested and at the initial set price
Deals with the Branding Unit regarding artwork and packaging
• Issues purchasing information (budgets, timetables, monthly reports) and follows up on processes, procedures and policies
• Initiates procurement action, manages the proper processing of orders and delivery
• Monitors, supports and manages the database and purchasing systems together with inventories
• Builds and maintains a team relationship within the purchasing section, with the Facility Management Unit and with all other units to promote good business relations and to set realistic purchasing development and enhancement policies
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deals with internal clients ( product managers, competition managers, Branding Unit) and external contacts (suppliers)
• Manages day-to-day ordering processes
DECISION POWER:
• Organises orders and overall strategy within the purchasing section
EDUCATION:
• Commercial
• Bachelor’s degree or job-related academic qualifications an advantage
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience in facility management or purchasing
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• High standard of oral and written communications skills
• Highly organised and process driven
