Regional Member Support and Compliance Officer – Europe

Company Description
The International Cricket Council (ICC) European Development Program is run from the ICC Europe Office at Lord\'s Cricket Ground in London and is part of a global effort to raise awareness and playing standards, and increase playing numbers and quality, to ensure sustainable growth of the game.

Description

Main purpose of the job

 Support ICC European Members complete – and oversee the compliance of – both ICC’s Developing Cricket World Funding Policy, and other development policies and regulations as set by the global ICC Development Department and/or ICC Europe Office.


Main job duties/responsibilities

 Administration of ICC’s Developing Cricket World funding policy in Europe. Including:

- Review/analysis of Member compliance to all funding requirements, including membership guidelines/criteria, operational planning and budgeting
- Support Members in the completion of these requirements as required
- Review of Member activity through quarterly reports comparing to agreed plans and budgets – address variances as/when required
- Verification / reconciliation of Member financial reports against audited annual accounts
- Integration of existing Regional funding systems

 Coordination of ICC’s annual Research collection process across 30 Associate and Affiliate Member countries in Europe. This includes the auditing of all collected data.

 Coordination of ICC’s Membership Guidelines Review and Assessment process across 30 Associate and Affiliate Member countries in Europe.

 Ensure all Associate and Affiliate Membership applications meet all required criteria (in conjunction with the RDM)

 Random testing of player eligibility, membership and funding information provided by Members. Assist Members to submit correct information in this regard as required.

 Assist Members (and the Regional office where applicable) regarding insurance and other risk manage-ment measures

 Implement, improve and ensure accuracy and integrity of Regional systems used to collect and measure Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s)

 Assist Europe Regional staff to implement and comply with global development processes and policies as required

 Monitor Member communication with the Regional Office, including the completion of tasks

 Establish and/or improve internal Regional systems to monitor and evaluate requirements to be completed by Members

 Support and educate Members in key administration areas such as financial management, data manage-ment and internal information processes

 Support member countries in the coordination and planning of the ICC Cricket Administrator Education Programme (CAP)

 Knowledge sharing within the compliance team i.e. across regions

 Adhoc reporting project / tasks as assigned by the Development Compliance Manager and possibly Re-gional Development Manager


Skills, qualifications and experience

 Degree in accounting, finance, business, sport management or other relevant discipline

 High level analytical capabilities with data management experience; excellent attention to detail, accuracy and completeness

 Experience in financial management, budgeting, accounting and planning

 A breadth of understanding of compliance and regulatory procedures

 Very good written and verbal communication skills

 Ability to work autonomously, prioritise, influence and drive change,

 Excellent computer skills, with good understanding of database programs and excel

 Knowledge of, and interest in, cricket, with some experience in sports administration and working with volunteers

 Experience in developing and implementing programs/systems across geographical and cultural bounda-ries


Reporting Lines

 This role reports directly to the Development Compliance Manager in Dubai. Given that the position will be based in the ICC Europe office in London, and will work closely with other Regional staff on Regionally specific projects, the Regional Development Manager - Europe will assist the Development Compliance Manager in conducting reviews/appraisals of this role.


GENERAL

• Location: ICC Europe Office, The Clock Tower, Lord’s Cricket Ground, London

• Work Related Travel: Cost of work related travel to be borne by the ICC

• Holiday: 25 days annually plus public holidays

• Remuneration Range: £32,000 to £36,000, commensurate with skills and experience

• Benefits: Company Pension contribution of 5% and Healthcare Insurance
