| Description |
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The ICT EURO Manager ensures that all EURO ICT-related projects and operations are in line with the ICT strategy from a technical and business point of view.
He or she also ensures the overall management of EURO strategic partners in an international environment.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Consolidates all EURO ICT projects in relation to ICT strategy and business needs
• Manages and supervises contractually agreed services with all strategic EURO third parties falling into his or her areas of responsibility
• Negotiates with the head of ICT all contracts and terms and conditions with strategic external partners in his or her areas of activity
• Participates in the establishment of IT objectives, in conjunction with the head of ICT
• Informs the head of ICT on a regular basis about important activities within his or her areas of responsibility
• Researches, analyses and transmits all information which could have an impact on his or her mission or service
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages EURO ICT projects from a resource, planning, objectives and budget perspective
• Work in relation to the managers involved in EURO projects:
- Informs the business manager about the ICT strategy
- Liaises with the business manager to ensure that all organisational aspects are integrated and planned in the ICT projects
- Ensures the coherency of the overall ICT applications, ICT infrastructures and ICT operations with the relevant ICT managers
- Ensures the coherency of EURO ICT projects with other UMET EURO projects
- Manages conflicts of priority
EDUCATION:
• IT engineering degree or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 10 years’ professional experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience of international sports events in an equivalent function
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in an international event environment
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Programme/project management / budget management
• Standard IT tools (Office, MS Project, etc)
• Software development, networking, systems and hardware knowledge
• Knowledge of business applications and end-user applications (web, mobile, streaming)
COMPETENCIES & CHARACTERISTICS
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Analytical mind
• Experience working in groups (different cultures)
• Abstraction skills
• Negotiation skills
• Strong person management skills
• Ability to take independent decisions
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• English - fluent (oral and written)
• French - good knowledge
• Other: German, Russian, etc. - an advantage
