| Description |
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provide full assistance to the Development and Promotion Manager in further enhancing and fostering UEFA competitions, thus contributing to fulfilling the needs and expectations of the European football family’s main stakeholders, and the fans in particular.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Assists the Development and Promotion Manager in his daily tasks and duties, including the definition of concepts
• Liaises internally with the competition managers, the Communications Division, Events Unit, Branding Unit, Marketing and Commercial Divisions, UEFA Media Technologies (uefa.com) and the TV Production Unit, and externally with TEAM Marketing and various agencies
• Checks and monitors the content of competition-related publications, videos and event promotions on an editorial level
• Ensures consistency across all football-related activities and with the overall promotional strategy
• Collects and analyses data
• Takes an active role in the management of players, including public appearances and long-term relationship-building
• Prepares reports and presentations, and drafts letters and general correspondence to key stakeholders
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides conceptual input for various promotional activities related to UEFA competitions
• Approves content of range of promotional items (publications, videos, website and on-site event communications, e.g. trophy tours, cup handovers, pre-match ceremonies, etc.)
EDUCATION:
• University degree in business or sports management
WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in football or sports environment, event management, communications and marketing
BUSINESS KNOW-HOW & IT-SKILLS:
• Excellent knowledge of (European) football and sport in general: politics and management structure of the game, main competitions, clubs, players, history and heritage, other major sports competitions
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
