Sport is at the heart of this company’s marketing activity. They have established a presence across a wide range of sports, building credible relationships with governing bodies and athletes. This role focused on putting their athlete ambassadors at the core of the marketing programme.
They have a varied portfolio of athletes and are keen to keep expanding this - especially keeping an eye out for up and coming talent - but ensuring that the athletes fit with the brand’s messages and identity. You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns that leverage these relationships, building the profile of both the athlete and the brand. Lots of creativity and innovative thinking is needs to deliver unique and subtle campaigns, working to also strengthen relationships with sporting communities, rights holders and influencers. You will work closely with internal teams especially events, sales and communications.
The ideal person will be currently working in a sports marketing role - either in an agency or client side - will be used to working with athletes and be well networked in the industry. You will ideally have experience working across a wide range of sports - from rugby, cricket and motor racing to surfing and snowboarding. Team and budget management experience and be used to working in a multi stakeholder, fast pace, creative and passionate environment.
