Toyota could sell its 2010 car to one of the Formula One’s new teams following its decision to quit the sport.
The Japanese manufacturer announced at the start of November that it was pulling out of F1 because of the global recession.
But reports in French newspaper Le Parisien suggest that the team could put its brand new TF110 up for sale, which could interest one of the new boys such as Manor or USF1.
Lotus and Campos Meta already have deals in place for at least part of the production of their cars, meaning they are unlikely to go for Toyota’s design.
