Bet-at-home.com has signed up to become the official partner of the European Handball Championships.
The sponsorship deal covers the 2010 event, which takes place in the company’s home country of Austria between January 19 and 31.
The agreement contains a package of rights that include board advertising, floor advertising and brand exposure in print media.
Bet-at-home.com chief executive Jochen Dickinger said: “After our successful involvement with other top handball properties, including the EHF Champions League and the IHF World Championship, the sponsorship of the European Handball Championships was the next logical step within our sponsoring strategy.
“As the official partner of the championships, we will be able to communicate effectively in our core markets in Eastern Europe, Germany and Spain to the strong media coverage.”
The European Handball Championships take place every two years and the 2008 event was broadcast in 85 countries.
