The Royal Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG) has appointed The Sports Consultancy to help manage its bid to host the 2018 Ryder Cup.
The consultancy will use its experience of the commercial, legal and technical aspects of preparing a bid to refine Spain’s campaign.
Director of The Sports Consultancy Director Angus Buchanan said: “We believe our team’s combined experience of host city bidding, Ryder Cup golf and our unique blend of commercial and legal expertise will help us deliver to Ryder Cup Ltd an extremely attractive bid.”
Director general of RFEG Jorge Sagardoy Fidalgo added: “The Sports Consultancy has a strong heritage in all commercial aspects of international sport as well as a great track record of delivering successful host city partnerships. I am confident they will deliver a first class bid for Spain.”
