The Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) has named Richard Cox as its new chief executive following the resignation of Andre van Troost.

Cox, who is a former director of Warwickshire, will be the KNCB’s third chief executive this year.

KNBC chairman Marc Asselbergs said: “The experience of Richard Cox links extremely well with the current ambitions of cricket in the Netherlands at the top level and also his knowledge to strengthen and broaden the base of the game domestically.”

Cox added: “I am thoroughly looking forward to the role and to working with everyone involved in Dutch cricket both domestically and internationally. In particular, a key area will be working with the clubs and the KNCB development team to sustain the game at all levels.”
