MP & Silva has signed up 20 broadcast partners for the 2009 East Asian Games, which starts in Hong Kong this weekend.
The agency has agreed deals with media companies ranging from China Central Television to Seoul Broadcasting System, quadrupling the coverage of the Games.
Head of broadcasting, media centre, games integrated system and information technology for the event Simon Heung said: “This is a huge boost ahead of the opening ceremony on Saturday [December 4] and we are greatly pleased and thrilled that the Hong Kong East Asian Games will be telecasted in so many countries and to such a wide audience.
“Our partnership with MP & Silva has raised the East Asian Games to a whole new level, and we hope that increased coverage will be part of the legacy left by the Hong Kong EAG, and help attract more travelling supporters, more commercial partners, more volunteers, and more athletes to participate in the future editions of the Games.”
